Police have requested an arrest warrant for a woman in her 50s over a stabbing attack at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, western Seoul. The Seodaemun Police Station said on Nov. 5 it applied for the warrant on attempted murder charges, judging that she had intent to kill, Yonhap and the Kyunghyang Shinmun report. The attack, which took place on Nov. 4, left a doctor injured, and police are investigating the motive. The woman, identified only as A씨, was apprehended at the scene. Doctor groups have urged measures to protect medical staff, according to Kyunghyang.
