Police have sought an arrest warrant for a woman in her 50s, identified as A씨, on charges of attempted murder for a knife attack at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, western Seoul, on November 4. The Seodaemun Police Station applied for the warrant on November 5, having upgraded the charge from special assault after determining intent to kill, according to Kyunghyang Shinmun. The suspect allegedly stabbed a hospital psychiatrist in a treatment room with a weapon she had brought, Yonhap reports. The doctor was injured and police are investigating the motive, the Korea Times reports.
