BTS' fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" has been certified "platinum" by the Italian Music Industry Association (FIMI), the first K-pop act to achieve this, according to Yonhap and the group's agency Big Hit Music. The certification is granted to albums reaching 50,000 units, combining physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming counts. The album was released in March, and the certification was confirmed on Nov. 2 (local time). Korean outlets including the Korea Times, Dong-a Ilbo, and Chosun Ilbo reported the milestone, with the agency announcing it on Nov. 4. The news comes as HYBE posted record third-quarter revenue, propelled by BTS' ongoing world tour, putting it on track to surpass 4 trillion won in annual revenue, the Korea Times reports.
