Hong Ra-hee, honorary director of the Leeum Museum of Art and mother of Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, received the Dongbaek (Camellia) Medal, the third-highest grade of Korea's Order of Civil Merit, on Oct. 26 at a ceremony marking the 121st anniversary of the Korean Red Cross. The award recognizes her more than 40 years of donations and social contributions in culture, medical care, and welfare. The medal was presented by Lee Hyeong-hun, Second Vice Minister of Health and Welfare. The honor follows her 2024 Red Cross humanitarian award, drawing attention to her consecutive recognitions.
