KB Kookmin Bank said on Oct. 26 that an additional 2,091 people were affected by the external hacking leak, bringing the total to 2,210, up from the initially confirmed 119. The newly identified victims include 1,631 customers and 460 employees, and the bank stressed this was not a new attack but the result of a precise re-analysis of the earlier breach, Yonhap and Dong-A Ilbo report. The bank expressed regret, saying it was "sorry to customers" for the expanded scope of the leak.
