North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited China on Saturday, arriving in the border city of Dandong via a newly opened bridge linking the two nations, according to a government source cited by Yonhap. A South Korean ruling party source told Yonhap that Kim may return to North Korea the same day after his visit. Kim met with Beijing's top political adviser during the trip, and Yonhap reports he was seen off by that adviser upon leaving Dandong, according to Xinhua. The visit, his first to China in over a year, was to inaugurate the new cross-border bridge and expand cooperation, the Korea Times reports.
