North Korean leader Kim Jong-un arrived in China's border city of Dandong on Saturday via a newly opened bridge linking the two nations, according to a South Korean government source cited by Yonhap News Agency. He met with Beijing's top political adviser, and Xinhua reported he was seen off by that adviser upon leaving Dandong. The visit is his first to China in more than a year, KBS World reports, and comes amid a push to strengthen ties between the two countries.
