KT is launching Token Factory, an AI platform that connects over 500 domestic and international AI models, letting businesses select the best model for each task and pay based on token usage. The service launches for enterprise customers on October 30, with a consumer version planned for March next year. KT says its technology can cut token costs by up to 25% through prompt compression and model routing, and it will protect sensitive personal information by refusing to answer certain queries. The company positions this as a new growth business, with an executive stating, "We will run models directly on GPUs in KT data centers to produce tokens and generate revenue," rather than relying on brokerage fees.
