LG Energy Solution reported record quarterly sales and a 25.7 percent rise in operating profit for the third quarter, driven by growing North American energy storage system (ESS) shipments and stronger electric vehicle demand. The company posted revenue of 9 trillion 643.4 billion won ($7.11 billion) and operating profit of 756.0 billion won ($557.2 million), marking a 59 percent increase in sales and a 25.7 percent rise in operating profit year-on-year. Yonhap reports the operating profit was 7,560 billion won, up 25.7 percent from the same period last year.
