LG Electronics launched the 'LG Dios AI Objet Collection STEM' ice-water refrigerator on October 26, 2026. The new model features a drawer-type freezer divided into upper and lower compartments, replacing the previous side-by-side lower freezer, and includes AI capabilities that learn user habits to control cooling and offer food storage guidance. The STEM brand provides water and ice via a direct water line, producing various ice shapes such as craft ice, cube ice, and crushed ice. Yonhap reports the launch, and Maeil Business Newspaper highlights the AI's ability to switch between freezer and refrigerator modes and suggest storage methods, quoting the example of saying 'I'll store beef' and the appliance responding accordingly.
