LX Semicon has named Na Joon-ho, executive vice president and head of strategy and marketing, as its next CEO candidate, the company said Tuesday. At a board meeting, the company decided to appoint Na as the new CEO candidate as part of its regular executive reshuffle for 2027, Yonhap reports. Na joined LX Semicon in 2001 after working at LG Semiconductor, and has served as head of the driver IC development office, head of the large display development group, and head of the TV and IT business division, before taking charge of the strategy and marketing division in 2024. He is expected to be formally appointed as CEO after next year's shareholders' meeting and board meeting, Chosun Ilbo reports. The company plans to place someone with experience in both semiconductor development and sales and marketing at the helm to strengthen competitiveness in its main business and secure future growth engines.
