Police in Seoul's Gangseo District have applied for a pretrial detention warrant for a 40-year-old daughter, identified as Park, on suspicion of murdering her mother. The Dong-A Ilbo reports that Park is accused of killing her mother, in her late 60s, with a blade at their home in Ujangsan-dong between 7 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on the previous day. Park called police herself at around 8:15 a.m., and officers arrested her at the residence about 25 minutes later. The warrant application was submitted on the evening of the arrest, according to the report.
