President Lee Jae Myung will deliver a policy speech at the National Assembly on Nov. 2 to explain the government's 2027 budget proposal, the largest ever at 820.9 trillion won, and ask for parliamentary cooperation for its smooth passage, Yonhap and Chosun Ilbo report. It will be Lee's fourth such speech since taking office and his second this year, following one in April. The main opposition has said it will cut 30 trillion won from the plan, according to Chosun Ilbo. Lee is expected to stress the need for the budget to stabilize people's livelihoods and secure future growth engines.
