South Korean ruling party sources said on Oct. 24 that Kim Jong-un may return to North Korea the same day after visiting China's Dandong via a newly opened cross-border bridge, Yonhap reports. Kim met with Beijing's top political adviser and was seen off by that official upon leaving, according to Xinhua via Yonhap. The visit, his first to China in over a year, was described as a surprise by KBS World, with Kim expressing hope to expand cooperation with China, the Korea Times reports.
