LG Electronics launched the 'LG Dios AI Objet Collection STEM' ice and water refrigerator on October 26, 2026, featuring AI and a drawer-type freezer. The STEM brand provides water and ice via a direct water line, offering various ice shapes like craft ice, cube ice, and crushed ice. The new model replaces the previous bottom freezer with a drawer-type design split into middle and lower compartments. The AI learns user habits to control cooling and can switch between freezing and refrigeration modes, and it can also advise on food storage methods. Yonhap, Dong-A Ilbo, Chosun Ilbo, and Maeil Business News all reported the launch, with Maeil noting the AI's ability to respond to commands like 'I'll store beef here.'
