A 47-year-old man, identified only as A씨, was sentenced to two years in prison with a four-year suspended sentence by the Chuncheon District Court's Criminal Division 2 (presiding judge Kim Sung-rae) for spraying a police officer with pepper spray at the Chuncheon Police Station civil affairs office last April, causing injuries including keratitis. The man reportedly acted because the officer looked at him, and was convicted of special obstruction of official duties causing injury. Yonhap reports the sentencing was announced on November 7, with the court handing down the suspended term.
