Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong visited the Al Dhafra gas-fired power plant construction site in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on October 21 (local time), inspecting progress and encouraging employees working near the Middle East conflict zone, Yonhap reports. The visit also covered discussions on future business, including AI data centers and energy infrastructure, with Samsung planning to expand from nuclear and gas power into AI and energy projects in the UAE, according to Chosun Ilbo and Dong-A Ilbo. Lee reportedly shared lunch with workers at the site to hear their concerns, Maeil Business reports.
